Miley Cyrus attends TikTok Presents Something Beautiful Album Release Event
Miley Cyrus attends TikTok Presents Something Beautiful Album Release Event With Miley Cyrus at Chateau Marmont on May 27, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

Miley Cyrus is adopting a new professional identity as she prepares to release her 10th studio album, "Bass Persuades".

Recent promotional materials use "Miley" without her surname. The change appears across the album campaign and related social media posts, although Cyrus has not said whether the new branding represents a permanent name change.

"Bass Persuades" is scheduled for release on September 18 through Atlantic Records. The album will be supported by two concerts at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18.

The shows are billed as "Miley: Bass Persuades — Live at the Hollywood Bowl." Model/Actriz is scheduled to open both performances, with general ticket sales beginning on September 10.

Cyrus described the album as a project about the emotional power of music and the many experiences it can carry. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, also publicly supported the new presentation, comparing it with other major artists known by a single name.

"Bass Persuades" follows Cyrus' 2025 album "Something Beautiful." She has also remained active through film and television projects, including music connected to "Avatar: Fire and Ash" and a "Hannah Montana" anniversary special.

Cyrus previously adopted the professional name Miley Ray Cyrus in 2008. She has not indicated whether the latest change will affect her legal name.
